THE SHORT ANSWER
Prepare a dated itinerary that shows your first arrival, country order, overnight stops, transfers and final departure. Uganda's regional checklist names a travel itinerary and return ticket. The worksheet below is our preparation aid, not a government form or a substitute for the evidence requested for your route.
Plain-text download. Complete on your device; no personal information is sent.
Make the trip understandable without extra detective work
A useful itinerary explains the journey as a whole. Airline confirmations may show the international flights while a tour invoice names only the safari. Your itinerary joins those pieces: when you arrive, which country you enter first, where the next transfer goes and how the holiday ends.
Keep the document factual and economical. A table can be easier to review than several pages of sightseeing descriptions. Its job is to explain the real travel plan. It cannot guarantee approval, prove that a reservation is paid or repair a mismatch between the issuing route and your first entry.

Copy this structure into your own document
Start with a short trip heading and the traveller names as used in the applications. Then add a row for each overnight stop and transfer. Use unambiguous dates such as 14 February 2027 rather than 02/14 or 14/02. That is our readability recommendation, not a prescribed government date format.
| Field | What to enter | Cross-check |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | Date, airport or border and transport reference if available | First-entry selection in the form |
| Overnight stay | Country, town, property or host, check-in and check-out | Accommodation record |
| Cross-border transfer | Date, origin, destination and planned transport | Tour or transport confirmation |
| Departure | Date and departure point from the trip | Return or onward evidence requested for the route |
| Unconfirmed item | Clearly state what is still being arranged | Do not present an enquiry as a confirmed booking |
The blank download contains no applicant details and sends no information to us. Complete it locally; upload supporting records only through your application.
Worked example: keep the transfer days visible
Notice that the return to Rwanda is its own row. A document saying only 'Uganda safari, 16–20 February' would leave the first and final Rwanda visits unexplained. If a transfer crosses a calendar date, use the actual departure and arrival dates instead of forcing it into one day.
| Dates | Location and movement | Supporting record to compare |
|---|---|---|
| 14–16 February 2027 | Arrive in Kigali; stay at Accommodation A, Rwanda | Inbound booking and Rwanda stay |
| 16–20 February 2027 | Transfer to Uganda; stay at Accommodation B | Operator itinerary and Uganda stay |
| 20–21 February 2027 | Return to Kigali; stay at Accommodation C | Return transfer and final night |
| 21 February 2027 | Depart from Kigali | Outbound flight booking |
Separate the plan from proof of a booking
A typed itinerary is a summary. A hotel confirmation, carrier reservation or tour confirmation is evidence supporting part of that summary. Label each accurately. If an item is provisional, say so; do not call it paid or confirmed because it appears in a spreadsheet.
This template does not establish that unpaid reservations are accepted for your category. Follow the selected route's current requirements. Do not buy a non-refundable flight solely because a blog template contains a flight row; clarify the evidence needed if your plans are not final. Never create a false booking, alter a confirmation or invent a host.

Run a final consistency check
Avoid putting passport numbers in filenames or public sharing links. You can identify the traveller inside the document where needed without exposing identity details in a download address. Save the original confirmations separately so you can answer a specific request without reconstructing the trip.
- Read the trip from the first arrival to the last departure, including transit stops where you enter a country.
- Compare every overnight date with the corresponding accommodation record.
- Check that border transfers do not disappear between two hotel dates.
- Match traveller names with the passport details entered in each application.
- Give the file a simple version and date, then remove superseded versions from the submission pack.
- If you have already submitted, send corrections through the existing application's support channel rather than silently replacing your own copy.
Use the worksheet with the route-specific checklist
The itinerary is one part of the application. Gather the other documents listed for the selected route and check the exact file slots in the form. A comprehensive itinerary does not remove the need for a passport, photograph or any additional evidence requested for your circumstances.
Start the application only when you can describe the journey accurately. If your first entry remains uncertain, use the route checker first. The application form and document review should work from the same travel plan.
Questions & answers
Is this an official East Africa Tourist Visa itinerary form?
No. It is a preparation worksheet created by East Africa Visa. It helps you organise a truthful travel plan and supporting bookings; the selected authority determines the required evidence.
Must I list every sightseeing activity?
Focus on the dates, countries, stays, transfers and departure that explain your journey. Add activity details where they help explain the trip or answer a specific application request. We do not claim a universal mandatory daily activity format.
Can a group use the same itinerary?
A shared itinerary can describe a shared trip. Check each traveller's dates and name, and prepare a separate application record. Anyone joining late or leaving early needs a plan that shows their actual movements.
